Welcome to SCS!

Regular meetings of the Board are held the fourth Monday of each month. Upcoming meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. on site at the school (385 S. Spring Street)

Persons wishing to speak to the Board must register by phone or in person on the day of the regular meeting. Registration is open all day by telephone at 621-3882 and on location at the school between 6:00 and 6:20 PM. The opportunity to address the Board at each regular Board Meeting is 30 minutes at the beginning of the meeting.

Each speaker has up to five minutes, subject to change due to number who wish to speak. Speakers may not ask questions of Board Members. Board Members may not engage speakers in discussion. Disruptive behavior is not permitted. Personal attacks aimed at students or staff are not permitted. Scurrilous, obscene, or recklessly defamatory language aimed at anyone is not permitted.

The Spartanburg Charter School Board will follow up on all matters that speakers present.

The Governance Committee is charged with overseeing tasks related to admissions policies and procedures, support for formation of the school, governance and operation, grievance and termination procedures, and student conduct, rights and responsibilities. It is chaired by SCS parent and businesswoman Christy Holcombe, who can be reached at 266-1301 or cholcombe1113@yahoo.com. Committee members also include Leigh Chen, Ginger Goforth, Lindsay MacMilllan, Patti Rubenzer, and Holly Williams.
