Welcome to SCS!

Regular meetings of the Board are held the fourth Monday of each month. Upcoming meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. on site at the school (385 S. Spring Street)

Persons wishing to speak to the Board must register by phone or in person on the day of the regular meeting. Registration is open all day by telephone at 621-3882 and on location at the school between 6:00 and 6:20 PM. The opportunity to address the Board at each regular Board Meeting is 30 minutes at the beginning of the meeting.

Each speaker has up to five minutes, subject to change due to number who wish to speak. Speakers may not ask questions of Board Members. Board Members may not engage speakers in discussion. Disruptive behavior is not permitted. Personal attacks aimed at students or staff are not permitted. Scurrilous, obscene, or recklessly defamatory language aimed at anyone is not permitted.

The Spartanburg Charter School Board will follow up on all matters that speakers present.

Program Manager

The Program Manager will assist the Head of the School and Program Coordinator in the day-to-day management of the school. Duties will include phone reception and filing as well as Department of Education reporting. The minimum qualifications for the Program Manager position include:

Associates degree in Computer Science, Info Tech or 3 yrs equivalent experience
South Carolina SASI certification for SASIxp
Typing accuracy and speed with the ability to operate standard office equipment
Excellent knowledge of EIA/EAA student classifications and SC State Dept of Education report requirements
Experience or training in SASIxp Student Information System
Experience with computers, both hardware and software
Strong data entry skills
Ability to assume responsibility and a leadership role
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with other employees
